Whether you have a favourite horse, dog, or even a family member that you've imagined immortalised on canvas or as a charcoal portrait, Sarah is always happy to discuss your ideas. And commissioning a bespoke piece of art isn't as daunting as you may think. Prices are affordable too, starting at around £200 for an original drawing including framing, Terms are normally 50% deposit on commission with the balance payable when the work is ready to be framed or delivered. For larger, more costly pieces, payment via monthly instalments can also be arranged.
Sarah prefers to work from her own photo references where possible and to meet the subject in person. She maintains that personal hand and eye contact with the animals she paints adds an indefinable 'magic ingredient' and is the best way to capture their soul and personality, which is what most clients value above all in her work. A private photoshoot is therefore included at no extra cost if you are based in Cheshire or within reasonable distance thereof (if travel further afield within the UK is required then mileage expenses may be charged). Alternatively your own images can be assessed for suitability via email. Advice on the best procedure to take your own photos can be given, or another professional photographer in your area recommended.
Please note that unlike so many 'pet portrait' artists, who tend to price by size and 'churn out' what are essentially little more than photocopies, Sarah gives every client a personal service and treats each commission as uniquely bespoke... so no price lists here! Just email firstname.lastname@example.org or call on +44 (0)1565 653938 or 07710 752698 for a chat. And don't forget to call well in advance if you need something for a special occasion - Sarah's diary is often very full!
